Highlights
Site maps
See which pages search engines will find, and fix their titles and descriptions in one place. Choose File › Site map… to open the Site map view: every HTML page of your project, whether the site map lists it, and why.
- Decided for you, with the reason: error pages, pages marked noindex, pages excluded from publishing and pages whose canonical URL points elsewhere are left out automatically. Include or leave out any page yourself, or a whole folder, including pages you add to it later.
- Titles and descriptions checked: see pages without a title or description, titles over 60 characters, descriptions over 155 characters and repeated titles. Make a title from the page's main heading, or let AI Assistant suggest the missing titles and descriptions, with a search result preview. Saving writes them into your pages as one change you can undo.
- The files search engines read: generate
sitemap.xml, a site map page for visitors that you can design like any other page, and theSitemap:line inrobots.txt. - Updated when you publish: turn on one option and every publish updates the site map first, so it lists the pages on your live site. The site URL is filled in from your publish target.
Site maps are part of Pinegrow Desktop. WordPress projects don't need them, because WordPress creates its own site map. A site map helps search engines discover your pages; it doesn't guarantee that they are indexed or ranked.
Faster Project panel
Browse and search projects with thousands of files without slowing down. The Project panel now draws only the rows that fit on screen, instead of every file in the project.
- Search keeps up: on a test project with about 15,000 files, pasting “photo” into the project search showed the matching files in 0.06 seconds in Pinegrow 10.1, compared with 2.67 seconds in Pinegrow 10.01.
- Updates keep your place: when files are added, renamed or changed, in Pinegrow or outside it, the list updates in place, with your open folders, selection, search and scroll position. Creating a file deep in the same project made Pinegrow 10.01 pause for about 2.4 seconds and jump back to the top of the list; Pinegrow 10.1 shows the new file right in its folder.
- Nothing to relearn: the panel looks the same, and its menus, tags, previews, multi-select and drag-to-move work as before.
Measured on a Mac; times depend on your computer and project. The faster Project panel is part of Pinegrow Desktop.
Playground projects
Learn Pinegrow by changing a real website. Three complete example websites, one for each major way to style with CSS:
- Pine Adventures with Tailwind CSS, Northbound with Bootstrap 5, and Pine Field Journal with plain CSS and CSS variables.
- Your own copy: Pinegrow copies the site to your Pinegrow Projects folder and opens it. A new copy never overwrites an earlier one, so you can always start fresh.
- Guided tour in the Info panel: its links select the element, open the panel or jump to the control for each step. One step sends a ready-made request to AI Assistant, if you have set it up.
- A video lesson for each playground, one click away with Watch the video.

Improved HTML parser
Keep your HTML formatted the way you wrote it, or let Pinegrow format it cleanly. You choose with Auto-format HTML code in Pinegrow's settings.
- Auto-format off: Pinegrow saves your HTML as you wrote it. Code you don't edit keeps its formatting, including attributes spread over several lines, so a small edit makes a small change in your files and in version control. Saving can still normalize quotes or spaces inside a tag.
- Auto-format on (the default): the formatter now changes only whitespace that doesn't affect how the page renders, and formatted code stays the same when you save again.
- Reads HTML like browsers do, in many more cases, so the elements you select and edit match the page you see, also in pages made with other tools.

Getting started guide
New to Pinegrow? A guide takes you from the first launch to editing your first website, one screen at a time. It opens by itself the first time you start Pinegrow Desktop.
- Free trial in the app: enter your email, then the trial key Pinegrow sends you. No account needed. Already bought Pinegrow? Choose I have a license key.
- AI now or later: connect an OpenRouter key, your ChatGPT plan through Codex or another provider, or set up AI later.
- Choose your first project: play with an example website, edit your existing website, build a new one with AI or from a blank page, or learn the basics in an interactive tutorial. When you open your own website, Pinegrow checks the folder first and warns you, for example, about a React or Vue app.
- Skip any step, and open the guide again any time from Help › Getting started guide.

Contact support
Reach the Pinegrow team from inside the app. Choose Help › Contact us to draft an email to support with your app details filled in.
- Pick a topic and describe it in one sentence: it becomes the email subject, tagged with the topic, Pinegrow version, licence status and system.
- Add screenshots, right away or after three seconds so you can open a menu first. They are saved to your Downloads folder, ready to attach.
- Open the draft in your email app, Gmail or Outlook.com, or copy it into any other email.
- Useful details, nothing private: the draft includes your Pinegrow version, system and recent errors, but never your licence key or the folders on your computer.
Pinegrow never sends anything itself: you review the email and send it from your own account, and we reply to the address you send from. Contact us links in Pinegrow's alerts open the same window. Contact us is part of Pinegrow Desktop, and you can always write to support@pinegrow.com.
AI Assistant
Unified user interface
One AI Assistant panel for every setup. The panel now looks and works the same in Simple configuration and in the standard configuration with your own AI providers.
- One Send button: it continues the current task, or starts a new one when needed, for example after you choose another action. A short follow-up such as “Shorter, please” keeps working on the same task.
- Plus button starts a new task.
- Action in Task settings: in the standard configuration, choose the action for new tasks in Task settings. An action chip shows when it isn't the default, Smart HTML edit.
Google in Simple configuration
Run AI Assistant on Google with just a Gemini API key.
- Auto model: Google's Auto model picks the Gemini model for each task: Gemini 3.8 Flash for Smart tasks, and Gemini 3 Flash for Quick tasks, image indexing and library search.
- Which provider runs: Simple configuration uses Pinegrow Online when it has credits, otherwise OpenRouter, or Google. To choose Google yourself, select Hide the provider in the settings of the providers you don't want, and Simple configuration skips them.
- Your key stays yours: you add it once in Google settings, and it is never sent to the Pinegrow server.
In the standard configuration you can also choose Google Auto as your Quick, Smart or Search model.
Updated models
Use the latest OpenAI, Claude, Gemini and OpenRouter models.
- Updated model lists. If your settings name a model that was removed, Pinegrow uses its current replacement.
- Searchable model menu: type to find a model instead of scrolling the list.
- Claude thinking summaries appear in the chat.
